So, after the sheriff's little introduction, you've got a better idea of why you're here... and outside of the more bloody-minded players present, it's probably not one you're terribly enthused about. Nevertheless, you're here, you're not leaving, and you've got a few rules to follow... but aside from that, you're basically left to your own devices. You can visit any of the locations in the town, and you do get complementary meals at the inn for breakfast, lunch, and dinner... but the question of whether someone will go ahead and kill hangs over the town like a dense fog.

Well, nobody's dead yet. But how long, exactly, will that last?

I wonder why that is. Oh right-- he just picked a bunch of damn strangers from who the hell knows where. This guy probably doesn't have the first clue what he's doing.

The threat of confinement is already a strong incentive. This offer is hard to take seriously in comparison.

[She'd probably do a murder anyway. Sea creatures are vicious killers, you know.]

Well it's supposed to be the cherry on top-- guess they don't think it's worth much more. Or they couldn't be assed to find a decent prize.

Oh I'm sure someone will be stupid enough to try. But anyone who'd do it for something as dumb as this is more likely to be the one that dies.

I wouldn't say that. Even a fool can kill.

Only if they're smart enough to pick someone they can actually finish off.

I'd think that wouldn't be hard in this group. Even an inexperienced fighter could probably kill the dog, for example.
