Whatever you were doing before you got here, it isn't what you're doing now. What you're doing now is waking up in an unfamiliar bed in an unfamiliar room with... unfamiliar glasses on your face. No matter what you can do, you can't take those glasses off... but if you roll your eyes down, you'll be given a rundown of what's going on here.

Hmm. Well, that's probably a little unnerving. Maybe you should... leave? Fortunately, your room's not locked, but as you go downstairs and try and ask the locals what's going on, you'll find they're... less than cooperative. And if you go outside the inn and try to leave into the town... well, you'll find several locations around the town, but you'll also find that you can't seem to leave.

Well. Maybe you should talk to the other people who just showed up here. All the locals are going to tell you is an explanation is forthcoming, so you might want to kill some time getting to know each other.

An amateur? Please. [ Likely he would have went on, something about disguising himself as a mall santa but uh, wow. So that does get a stronger reaction in the form of a tut, as he crosses his arms.. ]

Is there where I say it is a trade secret? Except it is, of course.

[rip mall santa topic, although maybe that's for the best since hell if Niles would know what mall santas are. That reaction is a little more promising though...!]

Playing hard to get? It's fortunate I've got a little experience with collecting information myself. And I'm sure you'll find my hands are rather skilled at what they do.

[There's a light twirl of the knife to punctuate that as he scans over the Spy again, with his gaze landing firmly on the other man's face.]

He's matching that movement rather effortlessly, and then before he can stop himself a response follows. And for what it's worth, his expression is a mixture of irritation and amusement. ]

Where is the fun in that, monsieur? There is a certain charm to watching a person's eyes go wide in realization as they're being "betrayed". Concealment and disguises are a specialty of mine, you see—I hardly kill with the same face. A wife turning on a husband, a friend turning on a friend, it's all too believable with the right circumstances, non?

...unless of course, it is as simple as a knife to the back. Trite perhaps, but it gets the job done. 

[ Sure let's just talk about how we murder people, this is normal conversation. Better than flirting(?) but probably only just, because it's not like he's a stranger to that either. Usually it's the other way around though, and he does prefer ladies.]
