[mock trial intro] move 'em on, head 'em up

Whatever you were doing before you got here, it isn't what you're doing now. What you're doing now is waking up in an unfamiliar bed in an unfamiliar room with... unfamiliar glasses on your face. No matter what you can do, you can't take those glasses off... but if you roll your eyes down, you'll be given a rundown of what's going on here.

Hmm. Well, that's probably a little unnerving. Maybe you should... leave? Fortunately, your room's not locked, but as you go downstairs and try and ask the locals what's going on, you'll find they're... less than cooperative. And if you go outside the inn and try to leave into the town... well, you'll find several locations around the town, but you'll also find that you can't seem to leave.

Well. Maybe you should talk to the other people who just showed up here. All the locals are going to tell you is an explanation is forthcoming, so you might want to kill some time getting to know each other.

Room 11

Whaaaa--!!! Where am I? What's on my face?

[Did she doze off on the subway? Is that what happened? The last she remembers, everyone was on their way home after the big Christmas Eve fight. And now she's in someone else's bed with these-- what the heck are these glasses doing here?]

Sheriff's Office

[The best place to find out more information about where they are now is the Sheriff's office, right? Except it's locked. Damn it.

Maybe she should have asked Mona to teach her how to make thieves' tools. As it is she's eying the lock and glancing back frequently at a bobby-pin she's retrieved from her hair. She gets the principle of how this is supposed to work--but not really the application.]

[ He watches her staring at the door and the bobby pin for a while. Not super interested because why bother with stealth but, eh. New shit. After a bit, he gets bored enough to come closer and speak up. ]

You know, it'd be a whole lot easier to just break the door down.

[She sighs.]

Somehow I don't think the sheriff would take kindly to us breaking down his door.

Yeah? Well boo-freaking-hoo. Pretty sure people stopped giving a shit about his opinion when he announced he was our kidnapper.

It's not his opinion I'm worried about. It's his guns.

[If she had to break something to find her way into the building, she'd go through the window. Less immediately obvious--well, if you pick the right window.]
flagrants: surprised?? (#oo5)

[ The window is an excellent entry point if you ask him. Glass is easier to break than wood. ]

Oh come on, those things? I bet they're just for show. He probably keeps them around to scare everybody into behaving.

They looked real to me. [She's got experience with real fake guns, after all.]
